Designing FeedFinder with our users

FeedFinder

FeedFinder is a user-generated mapping android application which supports breastfeeding women in sharing, rating and finding locations outside of their own home for breastfeeding their babies and young children. We conducted a series of interviews with women who were new mothers about their experiences of breastfeeding. Something which came up time and time again was that women had felt trapped in their homes during the early weeks and months of parenting because they didn't know where they could breastfeed in public and where would have good facilitites. Over the last year we've been working with breastfeeding community groups around Newcastle and Gateshead to make a smart phone app that will help mothers to find and share places in their local cities that are good for breastfeeding.

Very proud to say the app is available both on the App store and Google Play for free. So, if you're a breastfeeding Mum please download the app and start adding some reviews to share your experiences and expertise with mums thinking about breastfeeding in public for the first time!
