Paper prototype of the Global Secure interface
This project is a collaboration between Newcastle and Tsinghua University in China. The goal of the project is to explore how digital technologies can support a cultural exchange around energy usage as associated with day-to-day routines. We're interested in exploring the extent to which individuals in different sides of the world can look at other people's energy use and guess at their activities within the home. More than this we're curious to see whether looking at other people's energy use as associated with day-to-day routines might prompt individuals to re-think how they use energy in their own routines. We were also very lucky to visit Beijing - tabogganing down the great wall of China was definitely a highlight!
