Motivating mobility

This EPSRC funded project was concerned with developing bespoke prototypes for deployment in the home which would motivate an individual to complete the sometimes boring and monotonous work of rehabilitation post-stroke. In this project I worked closely with two individuals and their families to design prototypes which would fit with their home, family life, as well as their own interests and motivations. Ball FUNnel for example, allowed a young women to complete her rehabilitation exercises while playing with her young son. The device allowed the family to record sounds onto balls and then as these balls were bowled through the device those sounds would be replayed.
